The law regarding IT and ICT is dynamic and continuously evolving. IT encompasses the entire Information Technology, including hardware, software, and the network. ICT is a subset of IT, mainly focused on the digital devices used to transmit or receive digital information, such as apps, computers, and the cloud.

Legislation often lags behind digital developments, making the rules not always clear or outdated. With my extensive experience in this sector, I am well-informed about what is allowed and not allowed, especially which rules apply to certain (digital) technologies.

Every website, whether small or large, faces legal documents and legal obligations to include certain information on the site. Consumer law, trade name law, intellectual property law, and privacy rules impose various obligations on companies operating online. Below is a brief overview of the matters I can assist with:

Software

Every company deals with software and licenses. Whether it’s the use of Office 365 or accounting software, no one can avoid it. Additionally, many entrepreneurs want a custom solution or a white-label software package with corresponding restrictions. This often leads to disputes about the (improper) delivery of software, using software beyond the license terms, and issues during the bankruptcy or acquisition of the software provider. All these disputes come down to making good agreements at the beginning, which I am happy to assist with.
